Mr. Yussouf Ntwari

CEO at BAG

In Rwanda, my journey began with a deep love for tech and learning. In 2017, Gabriel Ekman and I saw a gap: young people needed to be ready for tomorrow's jobs. So, we started BAG. Through fun learning and real job simulations, we've reached over 100,000 eager learners, and proudly connected 1,000 of them to jobs they love. One of the best parts? People behind big names like Candy Crush saw our work and wanted to be part of the story too as investors. Today, BAG is an award winning startup and one of the biggest ones came when we got recognized by the African Union as one of the best technologies in education on the African continent. Then came the pandemic. It made me see how much we (founders) all need each other. So, I began another chapter with 'Startups in Rwanda'. A place where new business minds and tech fans meet, grow, and share. We talk, we learn, and we dream big together. Being part of groups like Kigali Global Shapers, Transcend Network and many more has been like reading the best books – I learn, I grow, and I share more. And here's a little surprise from my past: before all the tech, I was making music from 2011 to 2018. I often chat with teams about products, selling, and how to tell impactful stories based on my personal experience. From music to tech, it's been a ride. My goal? Keep learning, keep building, and make Africa a brighter spot in the world.
